Die neuen Millionäre sind die Arbeitslosen. Jeden Donnerstag lösen sie ihren Scheck vorn Arbeitsamt ein, ober das Geld reicht vielleicht nicht einmal bis zum nächsten Tag. Manchmal ist der Mond das einzige Dach über dem Kopf (Wortspiel: quarter = Unter-kunft: quarter of the moon = Viertelmond; 1 quarter = 25 cents). Wenn sich eine neue Situation ergibt, bringt sie nur Unheil – wie für Arbogast, den Privatdetektiv in Alfred Hitchcocks “Psycho”. Er wird von Anthony Perkins erstochen, als er die Treppe hinaufgeht. “Genieße die Zeit der Muße!” Das muß ein Adliger gesagt haben. Wenn er uns etwas von seinen Reichtümern abgäbe, würde sich das überzeugender anhören.
