This Side of Midnight

Text

The clock on the wall says 5 to midnight
But my name’s Jack and I’m alright
You can take the facts away or we will neatly ride down
Life is a single track, okay, and we will always hide down
We don’t want your sort around here
Now, on your bike and disappear
Don’t tell me, don’t foul me, just leave me well alone

Chorus:
Take the money and run Yeah
Take the money and run
Take the money and run Yeah
Take the money and run
Take the money and run Yeah
Take the money and run
Take the money and run Yeah
Take the money and run away

Sign of the times says armageddon
There’s still time for me to get on
England’s glory, dead and past
We don’t want to hear it.
Drive a flag up the mast and we’ll stand and cheer it
We don’t want your sort around here
You’re out of bounds, let’s get that clear
Don’t tell me, don’t foul me, just leave me well alone

Chorus

There’s honey still and no ill will
And Everything is alright
Everything is alright
And we’ll stay for all our days
Just the side of midnight
Just the side of midnight

Take the money and run Yeah
Take the money and run
Take the money and run Yeah
Take the money and run

Songbeschreibung
